Staver Law is a respected personal injury law firm dedicated to advocating for clients during their most challenging times. Our team is committed to providing compassionate support and effective legal representation. We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Legal Administrative Assistant/Secretary to join our team and help us deliver exceptional service to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Support: Serve as the first point of contact for clients, providing updates and addressing inquiries with professionalism and empathy.
- Case Management: Assist attorneys with managing personal injury cases, including drafting correspondence, filing documents, and organizing case files.
- Scheduling: Coordinate appointments, depositions, mediations, and court appearances.
- Document Preparation: Prepare legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and discovery responses for attorney review.
- Filing & Deadlines: File documents electronically with courts and ensure deadlines are met.
- Communication: Communicate with insurance companies, medical providers, and opposing counsel to gather necessary information and documentation.
- Billing Support: Assist with tracking billable hours and case expenses.
- Office Management: Handle general administrative duties such as answering phones, maintaining office supplies, and managing incoming and outgoing mail.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years as a Legal Administrative Assistant or Secretary, with direct experience in personal injury law preferred.
- Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal software; strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with personal injury processes, terminology, and court filing systems.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a client-focused approach.
- Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced legal environment.
