What you'll be doing...

  • You'll be a part of our extraordinary business sales organization set on changing the world and empowering our customers to do the same. The customer experience will be in your hands, establishing relationships and offering solutions through customer sales presentations. You'll play a vital role in growing and maintaining our existing customer base and managing churn.

    • Identifying, acquiring and penetrating accounts, with a focus on highly advanced utilities services such as (but not limited to) Intelligent Lighting.

    • Negotiating contracts and identifying and closing contract renewal opportunities.

    • Establishing, growing, and maintaining positive relationships and/or partnerships with internal and external customers.

    • Fulfilling contracts internally by working with key functional groups and third party vendors.

    • Leading efforts to fulfill contracts internally by working with key functional groups.

    • Developing and implementing a strategic sales plan to further penetrate accounts and drive activations with assigned area and regional team members.

You'll need to have:

  • A Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.

  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.

  • Outside sales or account management experience.

  • A valid driver's license.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • A Master's degree.

  • Four or more years experience with smart communities and/or electric/gas/water utilities and service companies.

  • Demonstrated experience leading a sales team in a commission-based sales environment.

  • Prospecting, funnel management and account management experience. Ideally, with major or national accounts.

  • Managed competing priorities with tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.

  • Demonstrated interpersonal, negotiation, and closing skills.

Where you'll be working: In this mobile role, you'll primarily work from customer or field location(s), with occasional visits to a Verizon location for in-person training and meetings.

If you are hired into a California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Maryland, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island, Washington or Washington, D.C. work location, the compensation range for this position is between $114,000.00 and $212,000.00 annually based on a full-time schedule. The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is a commission based position with the potential to earn more.
