Crude Oil Trader – Houston, TX (Permanent)
A leading global energy and commodities firm is seeking an experienced Crude Oil Trader to join its team in Houston. This role is integral to the expansion and execution of the company’s crude oil trading activities in key markets, where you’ll manage and grow portfolios while capitalizing on trading opportunities in North America and beyond.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, execute, and manage trading strategies for crude oil products.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with counterparties, suppliers, and clients to optimize trade flows and capture value in volatile markets.
- Conduct market analysis to identify trading opportunities, price trends, and risks.
- Work closely with risk management, operations, and logistics teams to ensure effective trade execution.
- Continuously monitor and adapt strategies in response to market shifts, regulatory updates, and macroeconomic factors.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in crude oil trading within North America, with a strong track record of performance.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the crude oil market, pricing mechanisms, and regulatory environment.
- Strong analytical skills and an ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
- Excellent negotiation and relationship management skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or a related field is preferred.
