Director of Supply Chain

POSITION SUMMARY:
This role is responsible for the purchasing function and overseeing all aspects of the supply chain to ensure inventory levels, quality, cost, supplier partner relationships, and on time delivery are effectively managed to meet and exceed the needs of our team and the customers we serve. The role requires a strong collaborative leader who seeks to serve the needs of a rapidly growing organization and our customers while relentlessly pursuing process improvement and cost savings.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Develop and communicate a clear procurement strategy to optimize the entire supply chain process ensuring efficient, cost-effective, and timely project completion
- Establish, implement, and document Standard Operation Procedures (SOPs) related to the systems and processes that support inventory forecasting, purchasing, planning, and material control
- Define and execute a procurement business plan focused on customer and value creation through robust supplier choices and market knowledge
- Implement practices that drive efficiencies and cost savings while maintaining the high quality of equipment, services, and value our customers expect
- Drive the delivery of a competitive advantage and best-in-class quality from suppliers while maintaining productive supplier relationships and negotiating the most favorable terms with cost savings
- Manage supplier relationships and performance to ensure adherence to contractual agreements and service level expectations
- Develop, implement, and manage fleet procurement and management strategy including related software and vendor relationships
- Establish and implement metrics to evaluate, monitor, and report supplier score card performance to ensure company targets are being met or exceeded
- Monitor and forecast inventory to maximize working capital and ensure optimum inventory levels are met without sacrificing customer needs or project timelines
- Achieve financial objectives by working with management to prepare annual and quarterly materials budget, schedule, and operations plan
- Ensure materials are available to serve operations in a timely, cost effective, and at the highest quality with excellent product support and warranty coverage
- Address organizational inefficiencies upstream and downstream from an organizational, purchasing, and supply chain management perspective
- Partner with Finance Team to manage payables to maximize cash flow while maintaining vendor relationships and supply
- Establish, implement and document SOPs related to assignment of equipment and labor costs to active projects
- Lead implementation of supply chain related SOPs and systems with current and future acquired locations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support inventory management, production planning, demand forecasting activities, and other company targets
- Develop and implement new programs, tools, and strategies to drive procurement as the business evolves
- This position has travel expectations up to 50% within defined

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, and Teams
- Thorough understanding of sourcing methodologies
- Well versed with managing inventory levels and implementing long-term supply agreements
- Comprehensive understanding of Material Requirements Planning (MRP)
- Advanced managerial maturity and servant leadership skills
- Highly effective communicator with excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate
- Proven ability to lead complex, cross-business projects in a multi-dimensional organizational structure
- Experience implementing and managing Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software, preferred
- As a condition of employment, employer will conduct a background check and drug screen prior to hire
- Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record
- Ability to understand, speak, and write English
EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or similar related field
- 10+ years of proven experience in procurement, inventory, or supply chain management
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) certification, preferred
