Inside Sales Representative

Work Location: Ashland, VA
As an Inside Sales Representative at Steel Services, Inc., you’ll identify new customer sales opportunities and manage existing business. You will interact with customers via phone and email to provide pricing quotes, enter sales orders, and respond to other customer inquiries.
Top-notch customer service skills are a must. Experienced steel industry sales representatives are encouraged to apply

What will your day-to-day look like?
- Coordinating existing internal accounts
- Developing new accounts
- Implementing plans for growing existing accounts
- Providing quotes and follow up
- Entering orders into the order fulfillment system to initiate the sales/distribution process
- Pricing stock items, as well as cut-to-size parts
- Sourcing non-stocked items to fulfill customer requirements
- Communicating with customers throughout the order fulfillment process
- Providing feedback to management and other employees to facilitate customer satisfaction and further sales
- Confirming timely deliveries of customer orders
- Coordinating with appropriate departments in the resolution of customer complaints
- Assist other Inside Sales Reps in the development and maintenance of their accounts when necessary
What are the requirements?
- 2+ years of previous sales experience (steel industry preferred)
- Strong math skills
- Strong oral and written interpersonal/communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word/Outlook/Excel
- Ambitious, competitive, and self-motivated mindset
What experience/certifications should you have?
- 2+ years of sales experience
- College degree preferred
