Job Summary
We seek a highly skilled Automation Technician specializing in Allen-Bradley PLC systems to support our commercial building automation projects in San Francisco, CA. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Allen-Bradley platforms and related automation technologies, focusing on optimizing and maintaining control systems for commercial building operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform regular inspections, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Allen-Bradley PLC systems (ControlLogix, CompactLogix, MicroLogix) and associated systems.
- Optimize PLC system performance to meet the requirements of commercial building automation.
- Installed, programmed, and commissioned new PLC systems for building automation projects.
- Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and engineering teams to ensure high-quality service and meet project deadlines.
- Provide on-site technical support and training to building staff on system operations and basic troubleshooting.
- Maintain accurate records of interventions, updates, and modifications in compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience working with Allen-Bradley PLC systems in commercial environments.
- Proficient in programming Structured Text, Ladder Diagram, and Function Block Diagram. Experience with Studio 5000 and FactoryTalk is a plus.
- Strong understanding of integrating PLCs with commercial building systems.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues independently.
- Technical certification or an associate degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Technology, or a related field is preferred.
- Must be located in or willing to relocate to the San Francisco, CA, area.

- Allen-Bradley Platforms: ControlLogix, CompactLogix, MicroLogix.
- Programming Platforms: Studio 5000, FactoryTalk, Modicon, EcoStruxure Control Expert, and EcoStruxure Power SCADA Operation.
- SCADA Systems: Ignition, AVEVA System Platform (formerly Wonderware).
