Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Marketing & Public Relations Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in public relations and communications, with the ability to craft compelling narratives that enhance our brand image. This role requires exceptional communication skills, creativity, and a strategic mindset to effectively manage media relations and public perception.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive public relations strategies to promote the organization’s initiatives and enhance its reputation.
- Write, edit, and distribute articles, and other communications materials that align with the company’s messaging.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with media representatives to secure coverage of key events and announcements.
- Conduct research to identify trends in public relations and media engagement that can inform strategy.
- Manage social media platforms by creating engaging content and monitoring interactions to foster community engagement.
- Oversee the proofreading of all public-facing documents to ensure accuracy and adherence to brand guidelines.
- Prepare for and participate in public speaking engagements, representing the organization at various events.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistent messaging across all channels.
- Respond to public relations related emergencies to minimize damage to the organization's public image. Develop, implement, maintain and/or modify crisis management strategies, including emergency response strategies and media communication strategies.
Job Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in public relations, Communications, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
Requirements
- Proven experience in public relations or marketing roles
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with an eye for detail.
- Strong research abilities to support strategic decision-making.
- Excellent verbal communication skills for effective public speaking engagements.
- Proficiency in social media management tools and platforms.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
