Job Title: Cobol Developer

Location: Columbia, SC

Duration: 12 Months

Pay rate: 45-50/hr.


Job Description:

  • Join our Electronic Data Interchange Gateway (EDIG) team, where you'll support the transmission of healthcare claims through X12 transactions with trading partners and clearinghouses.
  • This role involves working with a small team of developers on the host side of the EDIG process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain applications using COBOL, CICS, DB2, IMS, MQ, IBM Batch JCL, and related tools.
  • Collaborate with the team lead for task assignments and guidance.
  • Work closely with non-host and operations teams to ensure smooth EDIG process execution.
  • Participate in on-call rotation for troubleshooting and support.
  • Assist in the testing and implementation of systems.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience: 4+ years of experience in application development or systems testing.
  • Skills: Experience with COBOL, CICS, DB2, IMS, MQ, IBM Batch JCL, Easytrieve and APS Code Generator.

Additional Information:

  • This is an onsite role with team collaboration and on-call duties.
