Overview of the Accounts Receivable Specialist Role:
As an Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will be instrumental in managing and optimizing the company's receivables process. Your responsibilities will include:
- Processing and recording incoming payments, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Reconciling accounts receivable ledgers to ensure all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
- Managing customer account inquiries and resolving any billing discrepancies or issues.
- Preparing and sending out invoices and statements in a timely manner.
- Assisting with month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Collaborating with other departments to ensure seamless operations and accurate financial reporting.
Preferred Qualifications for the Accounts Receivable Specialist:
- Proven experience in an accounts receivable
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Excellent attention to accuracy in data entry and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs)
- Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred; relevant certifications are a plus.
