eCommerce Copywriter

We are looking for an experienced Copywriter to join our team of copywriters. This person will write product copy, emails, headers, subhead copy, copyedit blogs and more for Rooms To Go products, creating meaningful content that engages customers and drives business across various e-commerce platforms. In this highly collaborative role, you will interact with the digital marketing, E-Commerce, creative, content, and analytics teams. If you are a detail-oriented wordsmith with a passion for creating eCommerce content, this may be the role for you

Responsibilities:
  • Writes creative, clear, concise, and brand-right web copy
  • Ensures the accuracy of the copy and product information, tracks and accounts for errors, and updates all copy
  • Responsible for writing and developing high-quality customer-focused e-commerce content, including persuasive copy for product pages and landing pages
  • Candidate will interact with buyers and merchandisers to obtain information for products in multiple categories for RTG product descriptions
  • Check facts contained in ads against buyers' advertising notes, have an eye for reviewing details in photography
  • This individual will be inputting product descriptions into a digital catalog for Rooms To Go and his/her attention to detail must be immaculate
  • Coordinate information-gathering for all product details (i.e., weight, dimensions, size) and format them to deliver accurate and relevant selling points to the customer


Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of copywriting experience
  • Have strong attention copyediting skills with attention to detail
  • Must be able to read copy to detect and mark (or correct) any grammatical, typographical, or compositional errors
  • Must have experience writing detailed product copy for a major retailer, digital retailer or catalog company
  • Skilled in ideation of marketing & advertising concepts and campaigns, written and verbal communications, and a passion for words
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
