Our Client, a specialty pharmacy, is looking for a Nurse Practitioner in Pearland, TX.
Job Responsibilities:
As a Nurse Practitioner with Pyramids Pharmacy, you will:
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history, physical examinations, and diagnosis.
- Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans tailored to patient needs.
- Provide patient education and counseling on health-related matters.
- Facilitate physician referrals and coordinate case management services.
- Independently assessing and managing acute and non-acute clinical conditions.
- Ordering and interpreting laboratory tests and diagnostic studies.
- Prescribing medications and treatments as appropriate.
- Referring patients to specialty services when necessary.
- Maintain clear and thorough documentation in accordance with organizational standards.
- Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Adhere to departmental goals, regulatory requirements, and best practices in patient care.
- Current Nurse Practitioner Certification in the State of practice.
- Certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS).
- Board certification by AANP or ANCC (preferred).
- Current DEA number for prescribing controlled substances (if required by state).
- Credentialing with major insurance companies.
- Strong clinical performance metrics and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and time management abilities.
- Compassion, empathy, and attention to detail.
- Basic computer proficiency, including familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Graduate degree in Nursing (Master's or Doctorate).
- Experience as a Nurse Practitioner in a clinical setting (preferred).
