UX Manager/Director - on-site 4 days a week in the Dallas/Ft Worth area

Our client is seeking a creative mind to lead the user experience team. This is an established and profitable company, but the UX team is new. You will report to the CMO and have an opportunity to put your stamp on this team and continue growing headcount in 2025.



Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a small team of UX designers (player/coach role)
  • Conduct user research, including interviews, surveys, and usability testing
  • Create and oversee the development of wireframes, prototypes, and user flows
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, and marketing teams to align design goals with business objectives
  • Ensure a consistent and intuitive user experience across all platforms
  • Drive the design process from concept to execution while mentoring and guiding team members
  • Analyze user data and feedback to inform design decisions and improvements
  • Present design strategies and concepts to stakeholders
  • Maintain and share a professional portfolio showcasing UX research, wireframes, and final designs



Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of hands-on experience in UX design, wireframing, and graphic design
  • Experience in agile methodology
  • Proven experience managing and mentoring UX designers, fostering team growth and collaboration
  • Portfolio Showcase: Demonstrate your skills through a portfolio showcasing your diverse design projects, including wireframes, prototypes, and graphic designs
  • Tech Savvy: Familiarity with design tools like Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma, or similar platforms
  • Adaptability: Thrive in a fast-paced environment, adapting to evolving priorities and contributing to the company's growth
