Position Title: Director of Medicare Risk Adjustment Analytics and Reporting

Location: This position will work a hybrid model (remote and office). The ideal candidate will live within 50 miles of our Elevance Health PulsePoint locations.

Director of Medicare Risk Adjustment Analytics and Reporting

The Director of Medicare Risk Adjustment Analytics and Reporting is responsible for planning, directing and controlling the resources and efforts of reporting and data analysis team to accomplish the company objectives through information management.

How You Will Make an Impact:

  1. Obtains resources (people, funding, material, support) to support business unit information needs and strategic initiatives.
  2. Provides leadership in motivating subordinates to accomplish reporting and data analysis goals and objectives.
  3. Develops a strong team through training and effective organizational development practices.
  4. Reports project status and progress to business unit senior management.
  5. Ensures accuracy and timeliness of output and deliverables for assigned functional areas.
  6. Implements the policies, practices, and procedures of the company and business units supported.
  7. Has fiscal responsibility for area budgets.
  8. Establishes relationships with business users both internal and external.
  9. Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates performance of direct reports.
  10. Oversees entire reporting/analysis/consulting unit or all aspects of a centralized function.
  11. Participates with other executives to establish strategic plans and objectives.
  12. Makes final decisions for IM function at the business unit level and ensures operations' effective achievement of objectives.
  13. Coordinates project management across department & divisional line.
  14. Ability to communicate with customers about technical issues in non-technical terms.
  15. Understands the business processes that the system supports.

Minimum Requirements:

Requires Bachelor's degree and 10+ years experience leading project teams, or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:

  1. Knowledge of IM technologies, organizational structure, and customer information needs preferred.
  2. 10+ years of experience in risk adjustment and data analytics preferred.
  3. Experience with SAS, SQL, Python, R, or similar tools/languages strongly preferred.
  4. Prior leadership or management experience strongly preferred.
  5. Effective communication skills, including facilitation, consultation, negotiation and persuasion preferred.
  6. Experience with multiple risk adjustment models (MA, ACA, Medicaid) and markets preferred.
  7. Familiarity with Star and other quality incentive programs preferred.
