Please note that this position is based in San Diego, CA. Acadia's hybrid model requires this role to work in our office three days per week on average.

Position Summary:

This position will be a key player within our Strategic Finance team, leading Corporate Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) while partnering with Business Development to tackle new opportunities as they arise. You'll manage the ongoing corporate planning processes and deliver top-tier decision support. Collaboration is at the heart of this role - you'll work closely with cross-functional leaders across operations and team up with our executive leadership to shape the company's financial strategy and growth. Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Lead corporate planning process including annual operating plan, long range plan, sum-of-the-parts, monthly reporting, quarterly earnings call support, and board of directors' materials
  2. Coordinate organizational alignment on resource allocation and strategy
  3. Communicate real-time changes in assumptions and business trends to leadership. Develop, evolve, and publish regular KPI/metric reporting to track results and identify trends
  4. Consolidate data from the FP&A team to create slide decks for BOD meetings as well as reporting and presentations for the Finance Leadership team, CFO and CEO
  5. Manage consolidation of financial statements forecasts (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
  6. Maintain high level of accuracy and attention to detail in consolidation of corporate reporting
  7. Sustain and improve ERP systems and integration with other corporate systems
  8. Oversee industry benchmarking and peer set monitoring
  9. Support the Business Development function as well as modeling on an ad hoc basis
  10. Build strong relationships with FP&A business partners and other functions within Strategic Finance team, Accounting, cross functional partners, and executive management

Education/Experience/Skills:

  1. Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Economics, or Mathematics. CPA/CFA/MBA preferred. 12 plus years of experience in corporate finance, banking, or consulting. Biotech or healthcare industry experience required. An equivalent combination of relevant education and applicable job experience may be considered.
  2. Industry specific experience, with extensive understanding of biotech value drivers, including revenue, Commercial operations, clinical development, and portfolio management
  3. Financial modeling skills for all stages of biotech programs, including ability to Perform scenario analysis on variety of possible outcomes
  4. Strong track record of team building and managerial responsibility
  5. Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  6. Ability to work in a results-oriented, project-driven, real-time team environment, prioritize projects and deliver quality results within tight time constraints
  7. Record of problem solving through data analysis and cross-functional partnership
  8. Communicate details and tradeoffs of opportunities in a well thought out manner to senior leadership
  9. Ability to be deeply involved in daily operations of the company, not simply view from afar
  10. Ability to anticipate issues, ensure data integrity and accuracy of details while being capable of higher-level interpretation and explanation
  11. Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written
  12. Experience operating with candid transparency, professionalism, strong emotional intelligence, and the highest degree of integrity.
  13. Experience with NetSuite and Workday Adaptive Planning a plus

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, see, talk or hear in a standard office environment. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.
