The Role

We have an opening for a highly motivated Senior Java API Developer to join the Fidelity Institutional Product and Business Enablement Technology (FIPBET) team. You will be part of a team that works on both client and server-side technologies, and you will have the opportunity to grow and develop expertly within the Fidelity organization.


The Expertise and Skills You Have
  • A degree in a Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related subject area.
  • 6+ years proven experience building enterprise web and middle tier applications using core Java with Spring/Springboot, REST Services
  • Experience with unit testing and test automation libraries/strategies.
  • Experience using source control and pull requests for collaborative development in code repository tools such as GitHub.
  • Proven experience with developing and deploying applications to cloud using technologies
  • Solid knowledge in developing cloud-hosted REST services in Java/Spring Boot that integrate seamlessly with multiple UI app tiers (legacy and modern).
  • like Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS cloud deployment/application management a major plus
  • Experience building and deploying applications using continuous integration pipelines and automated deployment tools such as Jenkins Core and Terraform a major plus
  • Self-starter and Self-sufficient developer able to work independently under minimum supervision and own the outcome of delivering high value solutions.
  • Strong communications and problem-solving skills.
  • Develop high quality, maintainable software solutions in an agile environment to meet functional and non-functional business requirements.
  • Participate in all facets of the delivery process.

The hourly pay rate range for this position is $55.00-80.00 per hour. 

Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.
