Role Description

This is a full-time role for a Staff Environmental Scientist at Phase Engineering, LLC. The Staff Environmental Scientist position may initially include any of the following aspects:

  • Preparation of figures and documents and conducting historical research associated with various types of environmental due diligence projects.
  • Training and guided involvement with different aspects of due diligence reports.
  • Interpreting technical information and assisting with the preparation of technical report writing.
  • Ongoing Environmental Professional (EP) development and training.

Must have a positive attitude, be team-oriented, maintain a strong work ethic, and have willingness to learn and execute new tasks.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a science-related field (Environmental Science or Engineering, Geology, Biology, Ecology, Chemistry, etc.).
  • 0-5 years’ experience in conducting environmental site assessments, field work and preparing report documentation.
  • Knowledge of environmental compliance (air, water, waste), geosciences (remediation, environmental site assessments, environmental due diligence) and natural resources (NEPA, wetlands, and endangered species).
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Google Earth, Adobe Acrobat and ESRI ArcGIS products.
  • Possess a valid Texas driver’s license and meet company’s auto insurability requirements (if applicable to job).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Strong technical writing skills are a must.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Be able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Present a professional appearance on behalf of the firm.
