Banking Mergers & Acquisitions Senior Analyst -Coral Gables, FL

FinTrust Connect is excited to announce that we have partnered with a reputable international bank in search of a Banking Mergers & Acquisitions Senior Analyst in Coral Gables, FL. In this role, you will be responsible for driving the corporate development process, from deal sourcing through post-merger integration. The ideal candidate will lead financial analysis and strategic evaluations of potential acquisitions, mergers, joint ventures, and divestitures. You’ll collaborate closely with senior management and cross-functional teams to assess business opportunities and make data-driven recommendations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or economics. MBA, MS, or CFA preferred.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in M&A, corporate development, investment banking, transaction advisory, or private equity. Experience in financial services is a plus.
  • Expertise in financial modeling, including advanced valuation techniques such as DCF and comparable company analysis.
  • Strong grasp of accounting principles and financial statement analysis.
  • Ability to think strategically and solve complex problems.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively share insights with senior stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), Capital IQ, and Bloomberg.


Description:

  • Conduct in-depth market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities for growth, mergers, and acquisitions.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and market conditions that influence corporate development and M&A activities.
  • Identify and evaluate acquisition targets through rigorous financial modeling, market research, and industry analysis.
  • Build comprehensive financial models to assess the viability of potential mergers, acquisitions, and investments, with a focus on long-term financial impact.
  • Perform detailed valuation analyses using methodologies such as discounted cash flow (DCF), comparable company analysis, and precedent transactions.
  • Provide scenario-based financial analyses, risk assessments, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership on proposed transactions.
  • Participate in the due diligence process, evaluating financial, legal, operational, and commercial aspects of potential deals.
  • Support post-acquisition integration efforts to ensure smooth transitions and monitor performance against strategic goals.
  • Prepare clear and compelling reports, proposals, and presentations that articulate financial analysis and deal structures to senior management.
