We are seeking a Post-Production Coordinator to support our edit teams with essential footage management and preparation tasks.


Job Overview:

The Post-Production Coordinator will play a critical role in ensuring the seamless flow of media from field to edit. You will be responsible for ingesting, syncing, and transcoding footage, as well as managing Digital Imaging Technician (DIT) tasks. Your work will ensure our edit teams have ready-to-go, organized assets to produce cutting-edge content. This role requires excellent attention to detail, technical expertise, and a passion for storytelling through action sports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ingest Footage: Transfer and organize raw footage from camera cards, SSDs, or drives into the post-production workflow.
  • Sync Footage: Sync audio and video files from multiple sources, ensuring accuracy and timecode alignment.
  • Transcode Footage: Convert footage into appropriate formats for editing, maintaining high-quality standards while optimizing for performance.
  • Perform DIT Tasks: Act as Digital Imaging Technician (DIT) for shoots, handling media on-site to ensure backups, organization, and proper metadata are applied.
  • Organize Media Libraries: Create and maintain an organized file structure for media storage, ensuring that assets are accessible and efficiently stored.
  • Quality Control: Monitor footage for any technical issues (e.g., frame rate problems, data corruption) and alert the team when needed.
  • Collaborate with Editors: Work closely with the editing teams to ensure footage is properly prepared and delivered according to the schedule.
  • File Management: Ensure media is archived properly, adhering to TGR’s storage and backup protocols.
  • Metadata Tagging: Apply proper metadata to footage, ensuring all assets are searchable and easily accessible for future use.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in post-production or media management (1-3 years preferred).
  • Strong technical understanding of video formats, codecs, and transcoding workflows.
  • Familiarity with video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, etc.).
  • Experience with Digital Imaging Technician (DIT) tasks, including media backup and data wrangling.
  • Proficiency in file management systems and media organization.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues related to footage ingest, sync, and transcoding.
  • A passion for outdoor sports and a desire to contribute to action sports filmmaking.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Bonus Skills:

  • Experience working in action sports or outdoor adventure content creation.
  • Familiarity with camera formats used in extreme sports filmmaking (RED, Sony, GoPro, DJI drones, etc.).
  • Understanding of color correction and LUT application.
  • Knowledge of media asset management systems.
