Job Overview

We invite applications for the esteemed position of Vice President of Marketing to join our executive leadership team. In this critical role, you will significantly influence our marketing strategy and spearhead initiatives aimed at driving substantial sales growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and assess innovative loyalty programs to stimulate customer retention.
  • Formulate and execute a comprehensive sales strategy in line with organizational objectives and prevailing market dynamics.
  • Construct a systematic approach to lead development utilizing diverse media channels, including social media and community outreach.
  • Collaborate with the sales manager to establish ambitious sales targets and craft strategic plans to achieve them.
  • Recruit, mentor, and motivate a high-performing sales team while fostering a culture of excellence and achievement.
  • Propel initiatives to surpass revenue goals, expand market presence, and improve customer acquisition and retention efforts.
  • Build and sustain robust customer relationships, negotiating contracts and identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
  • Streamline sales processes, tools, and systems to enhance operational efficiency and drive productivity.
  • Analyze sales performance data to identify trends and recommend actionable improvements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and customer success, to ensure aligned sales efforts.
  • Conduct ongoing market research and competitive analysis to maintain a strategic advantage.
  • Partner with the finance team to ensure accurate revenue reporting and financial forecasting.
  • Develop comprehensive training programs to equip the sales team with essential skills for success.
  • Continuously evaluate and refine initiatives to enhance the effectiveness and growth of the sales team.

Required Skills

  • Proven track record in sales leadership roles, ideally as a VP of Marketing or VP of Sales.
  • Strong strategic and analytical capabilities, leveraging data to inform decision-making.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to forge effective relationships with stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in sales operations and familiarity with CRM systems; experience with tools like Triple Seat, Toast, and HubSpot is advantageous.
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment and adapt to evolving market conditions.
  • Willingness to travel throughout Northern California and to emerging locations.

Qualifications

  • A degree in business, marketing, or a related discipline is preferred, although demonstrated experience and success are paramount.
  • Extensive experience in sales leadership, ideally within the hospitality, restaurant, or service sectors, with a focus on multi-unit and multi-market operations.
