Provides application support to all departments; monitors various information system projects, upgrades, and development projects; provides support for all system components, interfaces, and end user support.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain user access provisioning and activities, including standardizing user access templates and working through ad hoc requests per IT policies.
- Record and maintain software and hardware inventory.
- Participate in planning, selection, and installation of process changes and applications system design and set up as needed.
- Performs special projects; analyzes processes and related data to recommend automation improvements.
- Evaluates and recommends improvements to system software and hardware; serves as liaison between departments and vendors for specific applications and hardware.
- Assess and evaluate clinical personnel and uses of software applications; assists with the implementation of software upgrades, practices, documentation.
- Select among authorized procedures and seek assistance when guidelines are inadequate, significant deviations are proposed, or when unanticipated problems arise.
- Work as a team member with other technical staff, such as networking to ensure connectivity and compatibility between systems.
- Write and maintain system documentation.
- Maintain confidentiality with regard to the information being processed, stored or accessed by the network.
- Document system problems and resolutions for future reference.
Requirements:
- Associate's Degree (Computer Science or related field ) or at least 5 years' experience in a related Information Technology position.
- Knowledge of management information systems, data structures, and application software and hardware platforms
- Knowledge of company supported hardware, software and operating systems to include configuration and connectivity.
- Knowledge of HealthCare Regulations & Standards (JCAHO & HIPAA)
