There is a medical clinic located in the complex as well as a satellite medical clinic in Karlstad, Minnesota. JOB SUMMARY:

The Housekeeping Aide is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and comfortable environment for patients, residents, staff, and visitors in our Clinics, Hospital, and Long-Term Care (LTC) settings. This role involves performing various cleaning tasks to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness. Contributing to the overall health and safety of the facility, the housekeeping aide will be responsible for various tasks, which may include cleaning and sanitizing patient and resident rooms, common areas, restrooms, and administrative offices. The Housekeeping Aide will also manage waste disposal, handle cleaning supplies and equipment, and follow infection control protocols.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:

  • Basic knowledge to be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
  • Understanding of cleaning and sanitation protocols in a healthcare environment.
  • Familiarity with infection control practices and procedures.
  • Knowledge of proper handling and disposal of biohazardous waste.
  • Awareness of safety and health regulations, including OSHA guidelines.
  • Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and their appropriate use.
  • Proficient in the use of cleaning tools and equipment, such as vacuum cleaners, mops, and disinfectants.
  • Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks, including bending, lifting, and standing for long periods.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and respecting the privacy of patients and residents.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
  • 1-year general housekeeping experience (preferred).
  • Must pass MN background check and fingerprinting.
  • Complete TB test within the first 3 weeks of employment.

JOB SCHEDULE/LOCATION(S):

  • Hallock, MN
  • Full-time
  • Shifts 6:00am-2:30pm
  • availability to work every 3rd weekend and every other holiday
  • Nursing Home, Clinic, Hospital, and/or Business Office setting
