As a Front Desk/Medical Assistant Hybrid, you will be the first point of contact for patients, greeting them with a friendly and professional demeanor. You will manage patient appointments, handle administrative tasks, and assist physicians in delivering patient care. This role requires strong organizational skills, exceptional customer service, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Welcome patients and visitors, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience.
  • Schedule and confirm patient appointments, coordinating with the medical staff to optimize clinic flow.
  • Collect and verify patient information, ensuring accuracy in electronic medical records.
  • Answer incoming calls, address patient inquiries, and route calls to the appropriate personnel.
  • Perform administrative duties such as data entry, filing, and managing patient records.
  • Assist physicians in preparing patients for examinations, including taking vital signs and documenting medical history.
  • Administer medications, injections, and immunizations as directed by healthcare providers.
  • Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and self-care instructions.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a medical office setting, preferably in a front desk and/or medical assistant role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in using electronic medical records systems and basic computer skills.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and basic clinical procedures.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and a positive attitude.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Demonstrated professionalism, empathy, and a commitment to patient care.
  • Familiarity with insurance verification and billing processes (preferred).
