Position Summary
- This is a consultant on a contract basis.
- Provide weekend coverage as a Utilization Management Nurse (only required to work on the weekends)
- Review inpatient requests from facilities, hospitals, and work with the Chief Medical Officer in the concurrent medical review process.
- Review Utilization Management cases and criteria to present to Chief Medical Officer.
- $250 per day and paid training.

Qualifications & Education
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing, or Bachelors (or advanced) degree in nursing.
- Active and unrestricted licensure as a Registered Nurse in Florida
- A minimum of three to five years clinical experience as a Registered Nurse in a clinical setting required.
- 2 years’ experience as a Utilization Management nurse in a managed care payer preferred.
- One year’s experience as a case manager in a payer or facility setting highly preferred.
- Discharge planning experience highly preferred.
