Mission/ Position Description Summary: 
The mission of a Technician for HVJ, a leading specialty engineering firm in Texas, is to support the project manager or other staff as directed to assure client satisfaction following the applicable standards, specifications and company guidelines. 


Responsibilities Include:
•    Perform testing and/or inspections as assigned.
•    Document work performed as appropriate.
•    Provide support to Project Manager as directed.
•    Perform duties in a safe, cheerful, and an efficient manner.


Additional Key Expectations:
•    Ability to acquire related certifications, review ASTM standards for lab testing.


Key Requirements:
•    High School Diploma
•    Ability to lift concrete, soil, or asphalt samples sometimes up to 50lbs as a routine part of the job.
•    Ability to tolerate year-round outdoor work
•    Ability to travel occasionally with overnight stay and tolerate shiftwork.
•    Valid Texas Driver’s License with no history of accidents or alcohol/drug related traffic offenses.
•    1-2 years of directly related experience
