As a Labor and Delivery RN at NCG Associates, you will have the opportunity to provide specialized care to expectant mothers and their babies during the labor and delivery process.
Responsibilities- Assess and monitor the progress of labor, including vital signs and fetal heart rate
- Administer medications and pain management techniques as prescribed
- Assist with prenatal examinations and assessments
- Provide emotional support and education to expectant mothers and their families
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized birth plans
- Assist with the delivery process and postpartum care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Adhere to all applicable healthcare regulations and protocols
- Stay current on labor and delivery best practices and participate in ongoing professional development
Requirements
- Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in labor and delivery nursing
- Strong knowledge of labor and delivery procedures, techniques, and standards of practice
- Excellent clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm and provide support in high-pressure situations
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
- BLS certification (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS certification (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) preferred

Benefits

Location: Great Bend, KS
Class/Area: RN LDR
Pay Rate: $1,620 - $1800 weekly depending on experience
Desired Start Date: May 13th or 20th
Length of Assignment: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36
Shift and Time: Nights; 12 hours
Schedule Details: 1845 - 0715
On-call Details : 4 on-call shifts per month. One 12-hour shift a week
Weekend Rotation: Every other
Holidays Requirements: Required
Floating Requirements: Will float to Med/Surg as needed
Experience Required: 1-year LDR
License Required: Kansas RN
Certificates Required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP |Must have taken a fetal monitoring class (intermediate or advanced) within the past 24 months.
