We are looking for Machine Operators - 1st Shift who are willing to learn, motivated and work well in a fast-paced environment for our Des Plaines, IL facility.

Job Summary: First-Shift Machine Operators use production machines in accordance with established procedures and guidelines to complete tasks accurately, according to specifications, and in a timely fashion. Reports directly to the first-shift supervisor.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Operate various manufacturing equipment including computer-controlled (CNC) machines, manual drill presses, automatic saws, centerless grinder, etc.
  • Make adjustments to machine settings as required
  • Transport work-in-process between production cells
  • Feed raw material or parts to semi-automated machines
  • Inspect parts with measuring tools and check output to spot any machine related mistakes or flaws
  • Willingness to learn machine set ups to start a production cycle
  • Bring production-related problems to the attention of the supervisor

Job Requirements:

  • The successful applicant will possess the following qualifications:

    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • 5 years of experience in a related field
    • Mechanical Inclination
    • Communicates well with others
    • Comfortable using basic measuring equipment (i.e. rulers, calipers, etc.)
    • Detail-oriented
