As a Commercial Litigation Law Partner in our client's prestigious Miami-based law firm, you will play a pivotal role in the commercial litigation practice. Your responsibilities will include handling complex commercial disputes, providing strategic counsel to clients, managing a team of attorneys and support staff, and contributing to the growth and success of the firm.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Litigation Strategy and Management:

    • Develop and implement effective litigation strategies for a variety of commercial disputes, including breach of contract, business torts, intellectual property disputes, and regulatory matters.
    • Manage all aspects of litigation, including case assessment, discovery, motion practice, trial preparation, and appellate work.
    • Provide guidance and oversight to junior attorneys and legal staff involved in litigation matters.

  2. Client Relations and Business Development:

    • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, including businesses, corporations, and individuals, by delivering exceptional legal services and strategic advice.
    • Identify and pursue opportunities for new client development through networking, referrals, and participation in industry events.
    • Collaborate with firm leadership to develop and execute marketing and business development initiatives to expand the firm's commercial litigation practice.

  3. Legal Research and Analysis:

    • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support litigation strategy and decision-making.
    • Stay abreast of developments in commercial law, including relevant statutes, regulations, and case law, and effectively communicate their implications to clients and colleagues.

  4. Team Leadership and Collaboration:

    • Lead and mentor a team of attorneys and legal professionals, providing guidance, support, and feedback to foster professional development and ensure high-quality work product.
    • Collaborate with other practice areas within the firm, such as corporate law, real estate, and employment law, to provide comprehensive legal solutions to clients.

  5. Professional Development and Thought Leadership:

    • Stay current on emerging trends and best practices in commercial litigation by participating in continuing legal education programs, seminars, and professional associations.
    • Contribute to thought leadership initiatives by publishing articles, delivering presentations, and participating in panel discussions on relevant legal topics.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Florida State Bar and in good standing.
  • 6+ years of experience practicing commercial litigation, with a demonstrated track record of successful outcomes in complex disputes.
  • Proven leadership and management skills, with the ability to effectively lead and inspire a team.
  • Strong analytical, research, and writing skills, with keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues.
  • Demonstrated business development acumen and a commitment to client service excellence.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
