We are currently accepting applications for a Teacher Assistant in our Primary Community to join the team at Northwoods Montessori School. This is for the 2024-2025 school year. We are located in a beautiful neighborhood community just 12 miles north of downtown Atlanta. Our lovely Primary Communities serves 18 to 24 children and are supervised by a Lead Teacher and Lead Assistant. Contract starts July 31 through May 29th, 2025. Position: Teacher Assistant: Hours are 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Requirement: Experience working with this age group - 3 to 6 years of age
Compensation: Based on experience

Job Type: Monday Through Friday. 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Duties

We are seeking an Assistant that is flexible, dependable, and loves working with children ages 3 to 6 in a variety of ways: recess, assisting with snack and lunch transitions, supporting nappers, and working with children in Aftercare/Extended Day. Must also be willing to receive feedback form the Lead Teacher and Director of School, and be open to learning about the Montessori Approach to Education.

  • 1 to 2 years of work experience with this age group in a group setting
  • Will abide by our dress/attire requirements
