Osseo Area Schools is seeking a dedicated individual to join us in maintaining our buildings and grounds. As a Groundskeeper, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring that our facilities are well-kept and operational, contributing to the overall success of the educational experience.

What You'll Do:

  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety in all tasks.
  • Maintain fields and landscapes with care and attention to detail.
  • Prepare and maintain athletic play surfaces for optimal performance.
  • Ensure safe passage by plowing snow and de-icing walking surfaces.
  • Install and repair various facilities including concrete, blacktop, fencing, and irrigation systems.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment.
  • Operate ice maintenance equipment as needed.

What You'll Need:

  • Valid MN Driver’s License.
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Willingness to obtain an MN Specialist boiler license, commercial driver’s license, and EPA certified pesticide applicator license within one year of hire date.
  • Strong commitment to safety practices.
  • Basic computer skills, including email communication.
  • Knowledge of cleaning techniques and materials.
  • Understanding of safety precautions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Work experience in commercial groundskeeping or ice arena operation

Work Schedule:

  • September 1st through April 30th at the ice arena
  • May 1st through August 30th on the district grounds crew
  • 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM Monday through Friday
