Job Overview:
Are you detail-oriented and passionate about the automotive industry? Join our dynamic and fast-paced early-stage startup as an Accounts Payable Specialist We are seeking a meticulous and dedicated professional to manage our accounts payable processes and support our financial operations. In this role, you will ensure the timely and accurate processing of invoices, manage vendor relationships, and contribute to the smooth financial functioning of our innovative automotive projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Invoice Processing:
- Receive, review, and verify invoices for accuracy and completeness.
- Code and enter invoices into the accounting system.
- Match invoices to purchase orders and ensure proper approvals are obtained.
Payments and Reconciliations:
- Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments.
- Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve discrepancies.
- Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up-to-date and accurate.
Vendor Management:
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with vendors.
- Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve payment issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate vendor records and manage vendor statements.
Financial Reporting:
- Assist in month-end closing processes, including preparing accounts payable reports.
- Provide support for audits by ensuring proper documentation and record-keeping.
- Collaborate with the finance team to improve processes and implement best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred but not required.
- 3+ years of experience in accounts payable and general accounting, preferably within the auto industry or a startup environment.
- Proficient in MS Office, Excel, and various accounting software.
- Experience with Microsoft Business Dynamics is a huge plus.
