JOB SUMMARY

The Arabic Open-Source Research Analyst will support 1st IO Command at Fort Belvoir, VA by conducting analysis using Arabic language skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conducts open source analytic production on sources and products of information available from public, private, and U.S. and foreign Government open-source materials within established security protocols.
  • Analyzes foreign and domestic-based publicly available information to identify trends, patterns, and relationships that provide unique insights to address defense intelligence requirements.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

  • Demonstrates working knowledge of the concepts involved in the specific functions outlined in the specified labor category description.
  • Knowledgeable of and demonstrates ability to apply IC and DoD classification guidelines and procedures.
  • Demonstrates ability to use logic and systematic approaches to gather, evaluate, and synthesize multiple sources of information.

  • Uses argument evaluation and validated analytic methodologies to challenge differing perspectives.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Qualifications include:

  • Active TS/SCI Security Clearance (DoD)
  • Fluent proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking Arabic language.
  • Viable candidates must speak Arabic at the ILR 3+/3+ or ACTFL Superior level and have either a bachelor’s degree or higher with 3+ years of applicable experience or a Highschool Diploma or higher with 7+ years of applicable experience.
  • DLPT (Defense Language Proficiency Test) with a score of 3+/3+ in reading and listening or ACTFL Superior prior to employment required
