Crexendo is seeking a motivated and skilled IT Department Technician to provide exemplary IT customer service both remotely and in person. The successful candidate will leverage a broad array of technical support and troubleshooting skills to resolve hardware and software issues independently, escalating complex problems as necessary.

Responsibilities

- Provide technical support and resolve issues related to computer software, hardware, telephones, and services.

- Set up equipment for employee use, ensuring proper installation of cables, operating systems, and software.

- Maintain Active Directory and Office 365, including the creation of computer logins and user accounts.

- Address requests for adding, modifying, creating, and removing permissions.

- Install and perform minor repairs to hardware, software, or peripheral equipment based on design or installation specifications.

- Maintain detailed records of user and system setups and installations.

- Utilize the service desk system to document communications and problem resolutions.

- Conduct computer diagnostics and research issues to provide technical assistance and resolve problems.

Qualifications

- Education: High School diploma or equivalent.

- Experience: 1-2+ years of experience in IT, Help Desk, and/or Managed Service Provider (MSP) environments.

- Certifications: Competency certifications such as CompTIA, Microsoft, etc., are a plus.

Required Skills

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical staff.

- Strong organizational skills with the ability to document processes and maintain accurate records.

- Ability to work independently with limited supervision, prioritize tasks, and drive results.

- Passion for IT, proactive problem-solving abilities, and a self-directed approach to work.

- Understanding of time management and adherence to schedules.

- Ability to seize opportunities and proactively avoid potential problems.
