Job Summary

The HVAC Helper will support our technicians by efficiently managing the delivery of parts and equipment, maintaining the warehouse, and ensuring all inventory is organized and up-to-date. This role is crucial for keeping our field operations running smoothly.

This is a temp job running from May 15th- September 30th.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Deliveries & Inventory: Arrange for efficient delivery of parts and equipment to installers and technicians, minimizing their need to visit supply houses.
• Consignment Inventory: Work with supply houses to ensure our shop is stocked with all standard installation and service parts.
• Warranty Processing: Process all warranty parts and labor credits promptly and ensure the company receives the credits quickly.
• Warehouse Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.
• Trailer Management: Assist with loading, unloading, cleaning, and organizing the install trailer.
• Material Management: Keep an accurate inventory count and order materials needed for each install job.
• Ethics & Teamwork: Adhere to the company Code of Ethics and Team Rules.
• Refrigerant Management: Pick up and drop off used refrigerant tanks.
• Field Assistance: Provide assistance to technicians with field projects as needed.
• Reliability: Be a self-starter, reliable, and flexible with working hours.

Minimum Qualifications

• Strong customer service skills
• Understanding of current field regulations
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• General knowledge of power tools and safe usage techniques
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Physical Demands:

• Climbing ladders and equipment
• Heavy lifting (50-75 pounds), ladder work, and working in tight spaces
• Consistently pick up a minimum of 25 pounds and carry up to 250 feet unassisted
• Operate handheld power tools
• Wear personal protective equipment
• Ability to work over 40 hours per week and up to 12 hours per day

Working Environment:

• Indoor and outdoor work
• Exposure to very hot or cold temperatures
• Proximity to hazardous conditions and equipment
• Safety attire such as goggles or protective clothing required
• Exposure to loud noises and bright or inadequate lighting
• Working from ladders, roofs, and scaffolding
• Work around contaminants
• Work in cramped spaces like crawl spaces under floors

Pay: $12-$15 per hour, based on experience
