Scarsella Bros., Inc. is recruiting Construction Truck Drivers with great driving records to work in the exciting industry of Heavy Highway Construction. Work will include hauling dirt and aggregates for construction projects. We are a union firm, you must join the Teamsters union to be hired. 

 

POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the direction of the Project Foreman or Superintendent, Truck Drivers are responsible for performing all driving duties in a safe manner, maintaining and cleaning assigned trucks, and performing daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections. You must have a Class A CDL and construction experience. Experience driving dump truck and trailer, bellydump, sidedump, etc. is preferred.

 

DUTIES:

  • Perform driving assignments.
  • Maintain and clean assigned truck and perform daily pre and post trip inspections.
  • Report any truck mechanical problems to maintenance personnel.
  • Obey all traffic laws and ensure a safe and healthful work environment at all times.
  • Assist other employees and work with others as a team on a construction crew.
  • As needed, operate equipment in a safe and efficient manner.

 

HOURS:

  • Overtime hours may be required in the summer season.
  • Frequent nights and weekend work, in addition to day shift.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Knowledge of DOT regulations and compliance.
  • Must have a Class A CDL, current DOT Medical Card, a clean, insurable driving record.
  • Able to work well with others in a team environment and follow instructions.
  • Able to move at least 50 pounds.
  • Must be able and available to Travel and work Out Of Town when needed.
  • Must be able to pass a drive test with Scarsella Trucking Manager.
