Responsibilities

- Design, control and implement electrical systems and products

- Power Centers, Industrial Houses, Integrated Power Assemblies, Control cabinets, Switchgear

- Develop schematics for electrical systems

- Develop BOM’s and place in system for purchasing.

- Inspect electrical equipment when needed

- Collaborate with engineers and technicians to design and apply new systems processes

- Manage engineering projects and deliver them on time

- Define customer’s needs and requirements

- Ensure that installations and applications are in line with the customer needs and safety standards

- Partner with sales to help specify required equipment based on project scope.

- Knowledge of industrial codes: NEMA, NEC, UL, MSHA, Etc.

Requirements and skills

- 2–4-year degree in Electrical Engineering, or related field

- Ability to read and interpret electrical one-lines / wiring diagrams of electrical systems.

- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Software, including Excel and Adobe

- Experience with AutoCAD, CAD software.

- Excellent math skills and the ability to apply advanced mathematical skills to calculate design equations

- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment

- Hands-on experience using design and calculation software-AutoCAD

- Ability to understand electrical engineering codes and safety standard regulations the willingness to learn

- Ability to communicate effectively and clearly with peers and customers to explain technical specifics

- Focus and concentration to understand complex electrical systems

- Self motivation to keep up with current electrical advances using new technologies

- Time management skills for meeting deadlines

- Proven expertise as an electrical engineer
