Certified Professional Orthopedic Coder 

Contract Position - Paid Per Op Report 

We are seeking an experienced Orthopedic Coder to join our team. Certified Orthopedic Coder credentials are required. 

This a remote position. 

General Purpose 

To create accurate and clean claims in a timely manner 

To successfully function as part of a team and to be able to communicate professionally with clients and coworkers. 

Must be able to understand and code Orthopedic procedures (may include some neurology)

Understand and append modifiers appropriately as well as follow NCCI Coding Edits 

To educate and provide feedback to the providers and relevant clinical office staff as needed 

Education Requirements 

Certifications or degrees in medical coding are required with sufficient work experience in coding/billing for Orthopedics. 

CPC, *COSC

Experience 

One to three years of medical billing and coding experience 

Orthopedic Experience 

eClinicalWorks experience preferred 

Task Requirements 

In addition to coding, candidate must be willing to discuss specific coding scenarios with the providers and their office manager as necessary. 

Reimbursement 

Paid per Op Report - $10/report
