As a Phrend Psychologist, you will be making assessments and identifying a wide variety of disorders in clients and formulating suitable treatments.  The psychologist will employ a range of methods to assess clients’ issues.  The ideal candidate will help us build an environment driven by our core values which are kindness, acceptance, respect, empowerment, and sincerity.

RESPONSIBILITIES
 

  • Making assessments and interpretations based on biopsychosocial evaluations, psychometric tests, semi-structured interviews, therapy sessions, and neuropsychological assessments.
  • Collaborating with other healthcare providers to evaluate the medical and physical condition of clients.
  • Formulating and creating personalized interventions, treatments, and managements plans for clients.
  • Assessing clients’ risk, considering their mental health and social needs when performing interventions.
  • Interacting with clients and other parties regarding performing interventions.
  • Employing various treatment methods.
  • Maintain detailed and confidential client records, including therapy session notes, diagnoses, treatment plans, and progress notes.
  • Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team including psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to patient care.
  • Stay up to date with the lates industry trends, treatment methods and techniques, and continue professional development through education and training.
  • Provided crisis intervention as necessary.
  • Adhere to ethical and professional standards as outlined by relevant regulatory bodies.


REQUIRED SKILLS / ABILITIES

  • Doctoral degree in Psychology – Ph.D. or Psy.D.
  • Fully licensed and credentialed in New Jersey
  • Proven experience with specialist psychological assessment and treatment of a wide range of mental health problems of varying severity and complexity.
  • Proficient with psychological therapies, risk assessments, training, and supervision.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and counseling skills,
  • Strong understanding of ethical and legal considerations related to profession.
  • Ability to work with a diverse population and age groups.
  • Empathetic, patient, and compassionate nature with the ability to build trust and rapport with clients.
  • Proficiency in electronic health records systems
