They are seeking a PROJECT ENGINEER with road and bridge project experience.
This role of a Project Engineer is to support roadway and bridge construction project teams. The ideal candidate will hold a degree in Civil Engineering and have 2+ years of experience working on DOT projects. This role involves coordinating with project managers, subcontractors, and clients to ensure the successful completion of projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the planning, design, and execution of roadway and bridge construction projects.
- Ensure projects compliance with DOT standards, specifications, and regulations.
- Prepare and review engineering plans, specifications, and contract documents.
- Conduct site inspections to monitor progress and ensure adherence to plans and safety standards.
- Collaborate with project managers to develop project schedules, budgets, and work plans.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other project stakeholders.
- Assist in the preparation of project reports, documentation, and necessary approvals.
- Provide technical support and guidance to the construction team.
- Identify and resolve technical issues and challenges promptly.
- Ensure effective communication and coordination between all project participants.
- Maintain accurate records of project activities and documentation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in heavy civil construction, specifically in roadways and bridges.
- Proven experience working on DOT projects.
- Strong knowledge of DOT standards, specifications, and regulations.
- Proficiency in civil engineering design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong organizational and project management abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6).
- Familiarity with sustainable construction practices and technologies.
