In this role, you will be responsible for conducting thorough investigations and collecting accurate information on criminal records, court proceedings, and other relevant data. Your findings will play a critical role in helping our clients make informed decisions regarding potential hires, tenants, and business partners. As a Criminal Court Researcher, you will be an essential part of our mission to provide reliable and trustworthy background screening services.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct on-site visits to Fulton County Superior Court to gather criminal record information.
  • Utilize public records, online databases, and other reliable sources to research and collect accurate and up-to-date criminal history data.
  • Verify and cross-reference collected data to ensure its accuracy and completeness.
  • Compile and organize research findings into detailed and concise reports.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely delivery of accurate and reliable research results.
  • Maintain quality and TAT standards as set by Impeccable Background Solutions
  • Communicate with supervisor to ensure all court holidays and other court delays are communicated to Impeccable Background Solutions
  • Must provide updates regarding any delays that would impact our business or our customers.
  • Must provide updates regarding courthouse structure updates, process changes, or fee changes.
  • Assist in the ordering and fulfillment of all court copy requests.
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Must have a High School Diploma
  • Proven experience in conducting criminal research or investigative work is highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of criminal justice systems, court processes, and legal terminology.
  • Must complete introductory training.
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills to interpret complex information and identify relevant details.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data collection and reporting.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Flexibility to travel and conduct field research as required.
  • High level of integrity and adherence to ethical standards in handling confidential information.
  • Must be able to type 40 wpm
  • Must have access to a computer and high-speed internet from home.

Working Conditions

  • This position requires the incumbent to work indoors at a desk for extended periods of time and use of workstation.
  • Some courthouse locations may require field researchers to stand for long periods of time
  • The person must be able to comprehend and follow work instructions in a fast-paced, team environment.
  • This position requires the ability to interact with all levels within the organization and requires the ability to respond professionally to all individuals and work well as a team player.
  • This position may be required to work overtime on occasion to meet company objectives.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to occasionally move about the office to access office equipment, etc.
  • Must be able to constantly operate office equipment such as a keyboard, phone, computer, copier, fax machine and printer, etc.
  • Must be able to frequently communicate with and listen to other Impeccable Background Solutions employees and vendors
  • Must be able to occasionally move, bend, lift, push, pull and carry no more than 20 pounds
  • Must be able to view multiple monitors for extended periods of time and visually determine accuracy, details and transcribe date in close proximity of computer software
