The Construction Manager is responsible for overseeing all phases of utility construction for various types of telecom construction projects. Supervisory responsibility:

  • Directly supervises Construction Workers and Foremen
  • Oversees construction workers and their supervisors


Responsibilities include:

  • Provide a high level of customer service when interfacing with customers
  • Give direction to multiple crews and their job site activities successfully
  • Promote safe work environments, holding crews accountable for safety practices
  • Participate in meetings with senior operations management and peers
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in both oral and written form
  • Ensure projects are completed by deadline dates
  • Promotes and complies with all company and safety policies and procedures
  • Works with Project Manager to ensure the client's expectations are realistically managed and aligns with the agreements and scope of work
  • Monitors all required paperwork the entire job
  • Monitors safety, quality, and schedules during construction
  • Participates in pre-construction meetings to clarify safety, quality, SOW/OOM/BOM, schedule and closeout requirements for internal crews/sub-contractors and ensures accurate and complete SOW/OOM/BOM is in place and approved by WTC customer prior to starting construction
  • Reviews project drawings and provides design recommendations- Reviews and interprets drawings for accurate SOW/OOM/BOM - Provides input to A&E and Project Managers drawing redlines when required
  • Reviews construction drawings (ground, tower, and shelter) as required for each project
  • Review RFDS and other RF engineering documents to determine constructability and develop SOW/OOM/BOM. -Advises the Project Manager/Customer of any problems with the constructability of the RFDS design
  • Serves as the site-specific expert for assigned projects
  • Performs other duties as required/assigned
  • Ability and willingness to travel weekly up to 90% 
  • Assists in facilitation of on-site safety meetings
  • Ability and willingness to work in inclement weather conditions


Qualifications

  • Strong Telecommunications/Wireless background
  • Minimum 7 years experience, at least 2 years in Construction Management
  • Drivers License Required
  • Successful pass of drug screen
  • Successful pass of criminal background check
  • Strong references and track record for completion of noted responsibilities and customer service


Physical Requirements

  • Requires frequent travel***
  • Must be able to lift 50Lbs at a time
  • Must be on-call to address delays, emergencies, bad weather, and other issues at the job site
