The Accounts Payable Manager is responsible for conducting and managing the accounts payable processes. This role is crucial in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of payments and financial transactions, maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and vendors, and supporting the overall financial health of the organization.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and reconcile invoices, verifying proper coding of documents, address any discrepancies.
  • Handle the posting of transactions to journals, ledgers, and records.
  • Prepare and perform check runs, manage payments, electronic transfers and organize bank deposits.
  • Reconcile accounts payable transactions and monitor account balances.
  • Maintain vendor files and handle vendor communication to resolve inquiries/discrepancies.
  • Assist in month-end closing procedures and prepare monthly financial reports and audits.
  • Keep financial records organized and accurate. Maintain vendor files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policies and accepted accounting practices.
  • Adhere to internal controls and accounting practices
  • Support the implementation of new accounting policies and guidelines.
  • Provide assistance during internal and external audits.
  • Undertake additional accounts payable tasks as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an accounts payable or general accounting.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Experience with Yardi accounting software or similar.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office.
