Job DescriptionJob DescriptionThe Bryan County Board of Commissioners is now accepting applications for a Full Time IT ANALYST II (Computer Support Technician) in our Information Technology Department.

The IT Analyst II is essential in provisioning, installing/configuring, operating, and maintaining systems hardware, software, and related infrastructure. This role encompasses managing mobile devices, ensuring system security, developing IT process guides, and maintaining an up-to-date inventory of IT assets. The key to this position is providing 24/7 on-call support and ensuring readiness to respond to major IT emergencies at any time. Reporting directly to the Chief Information Officer, the IT Analyst II is pivotal in maintaining the operational excellence and security of the IT department.

The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.

Round-the-Clock Support: Provide 24/7 on-call support, ready to manage and resolve critical IT issues outside of normal business hours, ensuring system uptime and reliability.

Comprehensive IT Support and Administration: Fulfill all IT duties, including troubleshooting, network administration, and maintenance of IT infrastructure.

Performance Monitoring: Monitor the performance of computer systems and networks to determine whether adjustments need to be made and determine where future changes will be required (including security)

Mobile Device and Inventory Management: Oversee lifecycle management of mobile devices and maintain detailed inventory records of all IT assets.

Help Desk Oversight: Lead help desk operations, ensuring efficient issue resolution and support for county employees.

Documentation and Continuous Improvement: Create and update IT procedure guides and ensure knowledge transfer within the department.

Procurement and Strategic Planning: Manage procurement of IT hardware/software and spearhead IT improvement initiatives in alignment with organizational goals.

Performs related work as necessary.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, supplemented with relevant IT certifications. Minimum of three years experience in an IT Analyst role, with a proven track record in help desk management and IT operations support. Any equivalent combination of experience or education is acceptable. Demonstrated experience in emergency response and providing 24/7 on-call support. Valid Georgia Driver’s License.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Certifications: Comp TIA Network Security + Certification; CISSP Certification; Windows OS (all versions), Microsoft 365 administration, Azure, Intune, Entra, MS SQL Server, AD Design, VMware virtualization, Cloud Services; Networking Experience – Configuration of Cisco Meraki switches/firewalls/network equipment.
