Matthew 25 AIDS Services is a non-profit healthcare clinic that specializes in the treatment of HIV/AIDS. We believe that nobody should face these diseases alone. Matthew 25 AIDS Services exists for the sole purposes of providing high quality services for those affected by HIV/AIDS. The successful candidate will share Matthew 25 AIDS Services, Inc.’s commitment to its mission, to support, educate, and treat those infected and affected by HIV/AIDS.
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Certified Pharmacy Technician will work with and assist the Clinical Pharmacy Manager with tasks in Matthew 25’s pharmacy, including responding to and resolving insurance questions, processing prescriptions, and addressing issues quickly and accurately. The Certified Pharmacy Technician will provide great patient care and customer service to Matthew 25’s patients.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A high school diploma or the equivalent
- Must have a current Pharmacy Technician license issued by State of Indiana and Kentucky.
- PTCB National Certification is preferred but not required. Must be willing to become PTCB certified within 1 year of tech-in training license issued in Indiana.
- Knowledge of state and federal law, guidelines, and regulations of pharmaceuticals.
- Ability to use and knowledge of the computerized pharmacy medication ordering system and the automated medication dispensing systems
- Knowledge of medical terminology, medications, and dosage measurements.
- Ability to use various equipment including computers and pharmaceutical repackaging equipment.
- Ability to maintain records and responsibility for controlled substances.
- Ability to ensure inventory control of drugs and supplies.
- Must maintain continuing education requirements for Pharmacist Technician License
- Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
- Excellent organizational, communication, and collaboration skills
- Ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds
- Willingness to work evenings and weekends for special events, if necessary
- Must have COVID-19 Vaccination
