JOB POSTING SECTION

PRINCIPAL OBJECTIVE
For over 25 years, PCC School Age Child Care (SACC) at Peninsula Covenant Church has been home to thousands of campers and staff from diverse backgrounds. We provide our campers with an environment of physical, mental, emotional and spiritual growth and safety as well as an opportunity to feel significant as unique individuals made in the image of God. Our vision is simple: Equipping and encouraging campers to know and grow their relationship with Jesus.

The SACC Program Coordinator provides administrative and program support for the core functioning areas of after school and summer day camp programs for school aged children. If you enjoy fostering a fun Christian-based, educational and active environment for children, then this is the position for you.

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Maintain and manage childrens enrollment files, both electronic and paper.
  • Manage and process information, changes, and payments through the programs electronic records management system.
  • Support internal and external communication via written, phone, email, walk-ins and social media as well as ongoing communication to registered families and staff.
  • Process monthly expense reports
  • Oversee camper sign-in and sign-out process following CA Child Care licensing requirements
  • Manage website and social media pages
  • Coordinate off-site field trips and extra curricular activities
  • Coordinate and facilitates age appropriate Christian-based curriculum activities
  • Drive students for school pickups and field trips.
  • Provide care for campers that visit the office for health and behavior reasons.
  • Stay up to date on California Department of Social Services Community Care Licensing requirements to help ensure compliance.
  • Become well versed in all policies related to children, program and campus (state, local and internal) and help enforce said policies
  • Maintain a professional relationship with all colleagues, students, parents, and community members.
  • Promote teamwork and interaction with fellow staff members.
  • Participate in staff development training programs to improve job and program performance.


REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • Maintain a healthy personal relationship with Jesus
  • Need to have a sincere desire to share Gods love and Jesus gift with children
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Able to maintain a high level of confidentiality
  • Strong time management and people management skills

  • Must enjoy working with children, young adults and parents.


EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION
  • Minimum one year related experience (child care, recreation, school)
  • Completion of Ministry Safe coursework (prior to start of work)
  • Completion of Adult and Child CPR and basic first aid (prior to start of work)
  • Fingerprint clearance through DSS and DOJ
  • Child Abuse Reporter training (prior to start of work)
  • B.A. in a compatible field preferred (education, psychology, recreation, etc.)
Substitute On-site Director-qualified per California Department of Social Services; Child Care Licensing guidelines.
