Job Description:

Personal Caregiver- $12/hr, with an extra .50/hr for weekends

A personal caregiver gives our clients help with skilled tasks, including (but not limited to):

personal hygiene (assisting to bathroom or in using a bedpan, bathing, care of mouth, shaving, skin, and hair), ambulation/transfers, eating, dressing/shaving, as well as may help with some light cleaning, meal preparation, grocery shopping, and general socialization based activities

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • High school graduate or G.E.D. certificate preferred
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and an insured automobile for work - must be able to provide proof of insurance.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English as needed for the job
  • Pass a written competency evaluation and a nationwide background check
  • Must be able to work some weekends.

Preferred

  • 1 year of experience as a caregiver/home health aide in healthcare is preferred, not required
  • Dementia care experience is preferred
