We are in search of a dynamic Accountant Account Executive professional who comes to us fluent in all things accountant and bookkeeper with deep experience working with accountant firms and/or their aligned services. We need someone who understands just how complex the job of an accountant is and is motivated to work to empower their operation with MarginEdge - bonus points if you have restaurant experience (operations or the finance side of the house), super bonus points if you have worked with accountants that serve restaurants.

For our ideal candidate, this is not your first sales rodeo. You understand building and nurturing pipeline, working across departments to build an exceptional customer experience and you are incredibly metrics motivated. And while the numbers will always be the foundation, this is an (exciting) emerging channel at MarginEdge so we are also looking for a creative, curious and flexible skill set to complement the more metrics focused part of the job. Think art and science.

You will report to our Director of Accountant Partnerships and not only build your own book of business but be a thought partner in our development of this channel in our ecosystem.

You will also know your way around Salesforce, have a record of hitting (and exceeding) sales goals and demonstrate a deep understanding of what makes accountants tick and their tech ecosystem.

What type of responsibilities will I have?

    • Achieve sales targets while growing and developing our Accountant Partner channel.

    • Build and nurture relationships and pipeline with a focus on measurable outcomes.

    • Act as an account manager to existing partners to grow the existing footprint of clients and earn future referrals.

    • Act as a thought partner to the Director of Accountant Partnerships, SVP Sales, SVP Marketing and SVP Product to inform sales, marketing and product decisions with frontline customer interactions.

What qualifications or skills are required?

    • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in sales

    • Experience with small business accounting

    • Salesforce/ CRM Experience

    • Pipeline management and reporting


Nice to Haves:

    • Experience in accountant software sales
      • Payments

      • Tax or Tax planning

      • CRM

      • POS

    • Experience with working with accountants who serve restaurants

    • Experience in a high growth, SaaS sales environment
