Chicago, United States Veres Career Consulting Full time
Job DescriptionJob Description

Be a Hero for At-Risk Youth ️‍

Hey there, amazing human We're on the hunt for a real-life superhero to join our client’s team as a Youth Support Specialist. If you've got a heart for helping troubled youngsters and can speak their language, this gig is for you

Here's the deal:

You'll be working directly with youth in our client’s program, creating a safe and supportive environment where they can learn, grow, and overcome their challenges. The youth in the program have been through some tough stuff – abuse, neglect, trafficking, you name it. But you'll be their rock, mentor, and guide to a better future.

So, what does it take to be a Youth Support Superhero?

First off, you'll need to be a pro at crisis management and de-escalation techniques. The youth might test your limits, but you'll stay calm and level-headed, diffusing tense situations with your mad skills.

You'll also be responsible for implementing each youth's personalized care plan, teaching them valuable social skills, and helping them work through their trauma. It's no easy feat, but you'll have the full support of our client’s awesome clinical team.

To join our squad:

you'll need at least a high school diploma (a bachelor's degree in human services or a related field would be fire).

Min. 1-2 years of experience working with at-risk youth in residential, hospital, or juvenile justice settings in congregate care/group home facilities is a huge plus, but if you've got a knack for connecting with these kids, we want to hear from you

Beyond that, you'll need to be a communication rockstar, both written and verbal. You'll be dealing with partners, families, and our client’s team, so excellent people skills are a must.

And let's not forget about that critical thinking ability – you'll need to stay sharp and make smart decisions in crisis situations.

What’s in it for you?

W2 status

Super benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Paid Time off, Sick leave, etc

Competitive hourly wage of $18/ hour – $23/ hour

Still with us? Awesome This job isn't for the faint of heart, but if you're up for the challenge of making a real difference in young lives, we want you on our client’s team.

Apply now, and let's change the world together, one kid at a time
