We are currently seeking a talented Facilities Manager to lead our maintenance operations and ensure the optimal performance and reliability of our equipment and facilities.

  1. Equipment Optimization:
    • Oversee the maintenance and performance effectiveness of process and facilities equipment.
    • Ensure equipment meets expected performance numbers while adhering to quality standards and health and safety regulations.
    • Eliminate equipment breakdowns and achieve high-level equipment uptime results.
  2. Employee and Team Development:
    • Inspire, encourage, and motivate team members to work cohesively.
    • Provide routine informal and formal feedback, including recurring performance conversations and goal setting.
    • Inspect and monitor work areas/employee performance and ensure constant and meaningful employee communications.
    • Lead continuous improvement projects or initiatives to enhance overall performance.
    • Provide employee safety training and counsel employees about work-related issues.
  3. Inventory Management:
    • Ensure proper inventory of required materials and supplies.
    • Requisition materials and supplies, monitor tool and part inventories, and maintain adequate working conditions in shops.
    • Be accountable for spending and maintenance budget.
  4. Project Management:
    • Execute or facilitate the installation and optimization of new process lines and equipment.
    • Define schedules, sequences, and employee assignments for work activities.
    • Collaborate with engineering on project installations and oversee their execution, ensuring costs and schedules are met.
    • Hire and supervise tradesmen during installations, repairs, or maintenance.
  5. Facilities Management:
    • Manage the facility (internal & external), facility equipment, process equipment, and janitorial services.
    • Ensure a clean, compliant, and organized workplace is maintained.
    • Maintain contact with and obtain quotes from service vendors as required.
    • Maintain required compliance checklist of activities and ensure staggered coverage.

    Performance Skills:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of mechanical maintenance and repair of production machines with PLC controls.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and determine causes of operating errors and correct them.
  • Proficient in basic math and Microsoft Applications.
  • Proficient in oral and written English communication.

Physical and Visual Requirements:

  • Significant time moving about in medium production environments.
  • Significant eye/hand coordination.
  • Ability to occasionally lift/move average weight (25-60 lbs.) in difficult positions.
  • Manual Dexterity and near vision.
  • Visual color discrimination.
