Collaborating closely with our finance team, the Staff Accountant will be instrumental in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our financial reporting. What You Do

  • Prepares and analyzes company financial records.
  • Reviews financial transactions, performs account reconciliations, and maintains related workpapers.
  • Prepares and posts general journal entries in ERP (Syspro).
  • Balances and maintains accounting ledgers.
  • Participates in the month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Participates in quarterly balance sheet reviews.
  • Participates in the interim/annual financial audits.
  • Develops and implements accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures and recommending changes.
  • Performs ad hoc analysis and reporting.
  • Assists the Controller with cash and credit line reporting.
  • Maintains Fixed Assets and associated depreciation schedules in SYSPRO.
  • Maintains the Capital expenditures budget, manages capital project requests, and prepares monthly capital project reporting.
  • Prepares sales and margins analysis reporting.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required.
  • Three or more years of Accounting/Finance experience required.
  • Demonstrated Knowledge of accounting standards and practices.
  • Intermediate or advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, experience working in ERP systems, and experience with data extraction from large databases is required.
  • Knowledge of or experience in cost accounting is a plus.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office programs such as Outlook and Word is required. Proficient skills in using general office equipment including desktop, telephone, printer, copier, fax, scanner, etc.
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate between departments, and with individuals from various levels of the organization.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills required.
  • Highly organized, detail and goal-oriented, with the ability to work under deadlines.
  • Excellent critical thinking, data analysis, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient skills in using general office equipment including desktop, telephone, printer, copier, fax, scanner, etc.
