Manufacturing Production Planner

Hours: Monday - Thursday 6:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. - Fridays off
Responsibilities include:
- Prepare, revise, and issue production plans and schedules
- Review and react to Trigger report to maintain proper IRLs
- Work with Inventory Control Clerk to ensure that jobs are released to the floor on time
- Communicate with operations on daily/weekly requirements to support the facility, ensuring the correct inventory is allocated to the production schedule
- Identify material constraints and work with operations to prioritize material
- Maintain customer order dates
- Working with operations/Value Stream Managers, adjust unconstrained demand as needed
- Responsible for supply planning
- Review historical data, research demand drivers to plan for projected customer demand
- Create and present recommendations for improvement
- Support build-out of yield factors and ensure that these are properly managed
- Confirm weight of material received
- Maintain accuracy of inventory
- Ensure that the production area always has a steady flow of jobs and communicate any constraints
- Validate that all material issued to the job is accounted for
- Use calculator, scales, move tickets, and other equipment necessary to receive and issue material
Qualifications include:
- 3 years experience scheduling, planning, and/or inventory control experience in a manufacturing environment
- Intermediate Excel skills, and able to analyze data
- Working understanding of inventory control
- Exceptional organizational skills
- Strong regard for product quality and safety standards
- Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good math skills
- Experience with MRP preferred
- Familiarity with Syteline a plus
- High School diploma
Work Environment/Physical Demands:
This position is in a manufacturing environment, where noise can be loud and typical of heavy machinery.
- Willing and able to wear required PPE at all times
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Visual acuity
- Able to walk, move, stand throughout shift
- Ability to push and pull carts full of material
- Able to reach and bend
